This is book two of this series and as others have said before me, it is a great Amish romance book. This series is about an Amish widow and her 3 daughters who live in a small Amish community in Missouri. Book one, Summer Secrets was such a good story, I immediately bought book two, Autumn Winds. You will love the characters in these books. These are not your typical Amish women. These are very intelligent and strong willed women who do their best to follow God and the the laws of their religion. They are hard working and filled with kindness and good humor. You will get to know many in their community as well. Book one was about Rachel becoming engaged to Micah while learning about and dealing with a tragic secret her parents had kept from her and her twin sister.

In Autumn winds the story of this wonderful family continues, only now it is Miriam who falls in love as she prepare for Rachel's wedding to Micah. You don't need to read book one first, but it will help if you do. You will learn the story of Miriam's daughters and what role the bishop played in Miriam being forced to sell the building that houses her restaurant.

This is one of my favorite Amish series and I can't wait for the next book. We still have to see what is in store for Rhonda and Rebecca/Tiffany. Then there is Ben's brothers and two aunts. And whatever will bishop Hiram do next?

You will not be sorry you bought either of the books in this series. They are terrific reads!

This book was so good. As I've said before I love reading Amish books and this was one of the best. The characters are extremely well-written so you care about their story lines. Their are enough conflicts to keep you interested until they are all resolved. This was one of my favorite Amish books and I highly recommend it.
I really enjoyed this second story from Willow Ridge. Hiram Knapp was definitely a force to be reckoned with, and I was so happy that Miriam was up to the task! Plus the fact that his own pride was actually his own comeuppance, was very gratifying! Thoroughly enjoyed this story just as much as the previous one from Willow Ridge. Thanks for such an enjoyable book.
love the way the books are coming together with its characters. This book leaves a way for you to predict what will happen next. Taking in consideration how Amish continue their lives, I am anxious to read the next book to see if my predictions are true. I am enjoying these books.
I read the first book in the Seasons of the Heart, Summer of Secrets and thoroughly enjoyed it. As soon as I finished it, I downloaded Autumn Winds to see what was going on with Miriam Lantz and her daughters. I find the Amish culture and their wholesome lifestyle very appealing. Charlotte Hubbard is a great writer and continues to introduce new characters to keep your interest.
This is a well written Amish book. It has depth and characters that are true to life. It also depicts the Amish life a little differently than the usual book does. Miriam's ability to totally trust God for all the needs of herself and her daughters is more than heartwarming. Her faith actually helps you dig into yours.

This is book 2 in this series and I loved the first one just as much as I do this one. I highly recommend it!
I have been a lover of Amish fiction for many years, and this was my first book by this author. But after reading Summer of Secrets, I could not wait to read Autumn Winds. It did not disappoint, and was very hard to put down until the end. Of course I had to have book 3. I just love the strong women of Willow Ridge, and how Miriam and others stand up to their very flawed Bishop. I must try my hand at one or two of the delicious recipes given at the end of each book.
Charlotte has once again captured us, with a genuine look into the daily life of the Amish. The glimpses of a man that just came into town, could there be a second chance at love again, for not young. A twin, feeling lost, with her twin getting married soon. The emotions are real, you love the characters, readers of all ages will enjoy.
